IIS Program

Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) play a key role in answering important scientific questions. Such studies also enhance the understanding of our products and their appropriate application, and can initiate new ideas for further research. An Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) is clinical research that is conceived, designed, initiated, conducted, analyzed and reported by an investigator who is not an employee or agent of Biocartis. The IIS researcher can request Biocartis support via funding, material, service and/or training.

Responsibilities of the IIS applicant include:

  • Study design and conduct
  • Obtaining the patient consent, ethics committee and/or regulatory authority approvals, as required
  • Compliance with local laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Publication
  • Submitting intermediate updates and final report to Biocartis Scientific Experts
