Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development and Strategy
Erik Vossenaar is Biocartis’ Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development and Strategy since November 2023. Dr. Vossenaar joined Biocartis in January 2010 as Director Business Development and since has held commercial roles of increasing responsibility. Dr. Vossenaar is responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s long-term strategy, goals, and plans to ensure it achieves these goals and objectives and remains competitive. He also leads corporate communications for Biocartis. Dr. Vossenaar has more almost 20 years of experience in business development and strategy development in the diagnostics field. He is the architect of the company’s partnership models. Dr. Vossenaar joined Biocartis in conjunction with Biocartis’ acquisition of the Idylla™ technology from Royal Philips Electronics (AMS: PHIA; NYSE: PHG). At Philips, he was responsible for Business Development and Technology Strategy for the Molecular Diagnostics Business Unit. He was part of the founding team that led the development of the molecular diagnostics platform that is now Biocartis’ lead product line: Idylla™. Erik Vossenaar holds a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from the Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the same university.
