Biocartis’ proprietary molecular diagnostics (MDx) IdyllaTM platform is a fully automated sample-to-result, real-time PCR system that offers accurate, highly reliable molecular information from virtually any biological sample, in virtually any setting, allowing fast and effective treatment selection and treatment progress monitoring.

Mission and vision
In diagnostics, speed is of the essence. Rapid access to accurate data about the relevant cancer mutations or treatment resistance in oncology, or about the relevant pathogens in infectious diseases, is vital. Early disease interception means less anxiety while waiting for results and faster initiation of the best possible treatment.
In molecular diagnostics, current technologies are often complex. They require a lot of hands-on time and are difficult to implement in the local laboratory. Sending out samples to specialized centers delays the fast delivery of results, preventing rapid initiation of the most beneficial therapy.
In cancer, measuring the presence of a biomarker associated with a patient’s tumor can provide crucial information whether a patient is eligible for a new generation of more effective targeted treatments, called personalized medicine. This provides great opportunities for better health outcomes and reduced healthcare costs for patients, healthcare providers, payors, and society.
