Key Account Manager US Mid West

  • The objective of the Key Account Manager is to develop the US market and grow profitable sales in their assigned territory.
  • The Key Account Manager is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key decision owners, laboratory personnel and physicians in targeted hospitals and laboratories.
  • A successful Key Account Manager will focus on growing profitable sales and achieving overall sales objectives as well as other defined performance metrics.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure sales volume, and revenue meet the agreed business plan in his/her own territory and engage with other (Senior) Key Account Managers to meet common team goals and objectives.
  • Monitor sales performance and devise corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Develop, maintain and execute an annual business plan for their territory.
  • Maintain Key Account plans to maximize business at all assigned accounts and keep customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM.
  • Meet and exceed projected sales targets.
  • Attend Sales Meetings and when required, organize and attend local exhibitions.
  • Develop innovative proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations.
  • Provide in-depth technical support regarding current product lines.
  • Identify key decision makers and navigate a complex sales process.
  • Successfully prospect and forecast.

Profile requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific orientation is preferred or equivalent through experience and/or training.
  • Experience in working independently with little direct supervision.
  • Min. 3 years of solution selling experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the diagnostic market, preferably in molecular diagnostics and/or pathology
  • Broad understanding of workflow in pathology labs.
  • Capable of developing and executing business plan in his/her assigned region
  • Analytical and business oriented
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to make an impact.
  • Excellent selling skills with the ability to build customer rapport (relationship building skills)
  • Business development skills
  • Understanding of scientific studies and communities
  • Biocartis Product knowledge (cartridge, assays):
    Applied knowledge of the Molecular market
  • Biocartis Product knowledge (instrument)
    Local market knowledge (e.g., reimbursement, tender driven, local healthcare, competitors)
  • Knowledge of business plans - understanding, creating of for his/her own territory
  • Able to engage healthcare professionals in meaningful dialogue to determine their needs and how our products can meet those needs 
  • Excellent verbal/written English (and one or more languages of the region if applicable)
