Business Lead / Product Specialist Export (LatAm/Canada)

As a business lead, he/she is responsible to strengthen the pipeline of leads in LATAM and Canada for specific products and as such ensure that sales and business objectives are met. The Business Lead Export will focus on generating demand with clinicians and helping our distributors in expanding the business through clinician contact.

As a Product Specialist he/she is responsible for the training of end-users and/or distributors for the use of IdyllaTM equipment and assays, as well as those of Biocartis’ partners.

He/She provides timely high quality pre- & after-sales support, while engaging with customers in technical and scientific discussions.

He/She provides efficient versatile customer support including remote as well as on-site trainings, demonstrations, installations, email and phone inquiries, application support, workflow analysis, planning and troubleshooting.

 

Accountabilities

  • Ensure that sales and business objectives for specific products are met, in close collaboration with the Export business managers and Business Lead Oncology (BLO). This will drive KPIs such as  number of leads, number of clinicians ordering specific products and sales.
  • Responsible for generating demand for specific products in existing and new sites:

o Help clinicians in a correct patient selection of the test. Discuss patient cases to discuss why these patients should/should not be tested;

o Streamline patient and test ordering workflow in hospitals;

o Build financial models within hospitals;

o Support reimbursement efforts;

o Support distributors in building a network of send-out clinicians/hospitals;

  • Responsible for Lead generation for specific products :

o Visit countries in LATAM/Canada region to meet treating physicians and sell the value (i.e. high price) of specific products to specialists;

o Coordinate and grow a network of KOL’s (both online as supporting through local visits) to support adoption of new products and coordinate interaction between this group and different Biocartis functions;

o Participates as a sales representative at conferences in Export countries for specific products;

o Supporting our distributors in reaching out to clinicians (currently not the target audience of our distributors);

o Set up communication/lead generation campaigns through our distributors;

o Actively follow up on leads;

  • Responsible for specific product training, both technical,  clinical  as value selling. Provide in dept product training to different stakeholders (such as  treating physicians, surgeons)
  • As a product specialist Export he/she will support the full oncology portfolio:

o Conduct distributor and end-user trainings;

o Give workshops and Demonstrations;

o Handle customer complaints and inquires by maintaining strong relationships with the distributors;

o Carry inquiries and forward to Customer Support in cases where he/she cannot solve them own his/her own;

o Involvement in studies and scientific communications; 

o Participate in product launches in the region by providing training to distributors and end-users;

o Makes sure that feedback from distributors and/or end-users is shared with the  Product Management team and other relevant internal stakeholders;

o Presence at local conferences;

  • The Product Specialist supports the execution of global marketing & sales actions in the designated Territory and proposes local marketing & sales actions where needed.

 

Profile requirements

  • A Master’s degree in a scientific orientation or equivalent through experience/training;
  • A PhD is a significant plus;
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience in diagnostic or pharma industry is required;
  • Experience with molecular diagnostics products;
  • Experience with lead generation and lead generation campaigns;
