Experience required
  • Min. 5 years of commercial experience within the life sciences industry, preferably in diagnostics.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and train sales teams, with experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience marketing molecular diagnostics products to pathologists and oncologists. Deep understanding of the competitive landscape is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the US sales cycle and market dynamics within the hospital and reference laboratory sectors. Proven track record of analyzing sales trends and developing targeted marketing strategies.

Education

Master degree in a scientific orientation or equivalent through experience and/or training.

The Field Marketing Manager US is responsible for marketing activities for current and future oncology products offered by Biocartis in the US. You will develop and implement specific short and long-term growth plans based upon marketing insights into local competitive landscapes and ongoing market trends within the US.

The position is field based in US and requires approximately 50% travel.

The position reports to the VP of Global Marketing.

Main objectives:

  • Work cross-functionally to develop and execute the US brand plan with efforts focused around increasing market share of existing and future oncology products.
  • Support the US sales team with marketing activities focused on increasing customer acquisition and client retention.
  • Train and educate the US sales team on the Biocartis assays including competition, relevant market dynamics and positioning of oncology products.
  • Support local and national conferences.
  • Interface directly with Marketing Communications Team in the development of promotional materials.
  • Take ownership of business by tracking sales trends and ROI of marketing initiatives

Accountabilities include:

  • Translate company goals into a comprehensive brand plan for products in the US. Together with the VP Marketing, the Strategic Marketing Manager and the VP US Commercial, develop annual and long-term growth plans and core business strategies in the key areas of portfolio management, customer targeting, activity management, financial performance.
  • Understand the sales cycle in the US and the key drivers for hospitals and reference laboratories to bring in new equipment and technologies.
  • Analyze sales trends and develop targeted marketing strategies to drive growth and enhance market positioning.
  • Have a high degree of technical understanding and product and market knowledge
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to equip the US sales team with in-depth knowledge of Idylla™ oncology assays, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Organize and lead annual on-site sales training.
  • Develop competitive response strategies and proof sources with a focus on the US market.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to catch up on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Support sales representatives during customer visits providing in-depth information on Idylla™ oncology assays where needed.
  • Working with internal marketing communications team and external marketing firms to develop materials for the Idylla™ assays that can be used by internal and external sales teams in a simple and creative manner.
  • Collaborate in development of marketing materials and sales collateral targeting the different members of the hospital value chain in the US.
  • Assists with the organization, logistics, and management of local and national trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences in the US. Represent the company at national meetings and, as needed, at local events.
  • Present a positive and professional image of Biocartis, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company’s ethical marketing policies and procedures.
